Great for Family Holidays

Chauffour is a family run business, for families looking for a great holiday in a beautiful location with plenty of activities on site and in the surrounding area.

Within 15 minutes of Chauffour are Acrobranche courses at St. Aulaye and Poltrot,  beautiful riverside beaches with cafes, toilets, children’s playgrounds at Aubeterre and St. Aulaye or the fantastic lakeside beach at Lake Jemaye with woodland walks.

For keen cyclists you can hire bike packages from a local company who will deliver and collect the bikes from Chauffour.

Canoeing is available in Riberac and Aubeterre and also further afield in the pretty villages of Brantome and Bourdeilles. The lake at Jemaye offers kayaks free for 1/2 an hour on the lake.

Within an hour of Chauffour are caves, beautiful villages, vineyards and other fabulous attractions of South West France.

 

Ideal for Teenagers

During the year the Dordogne region hosts a range of festivals including mime, film, music, flowers, food and of course wine! For older teenagers, Bordeaux (voted European destination of the year for 2015) is an easy day trip away and Cognac, Angouleme and Perigueux are all good size towns within easy reach too.

And... we're also happy to baby-sit if you fancy a night out without the kids, and we'll also prepare a meal for your arrival to save you having to cook!
