Two Centre Breaks – Dordogne & Brittany

France is such a vast country – why not see two very beautiful and contrasting areas in one holiday. 

Our sister gite Les Myrtes is in the lovely village of Pleucadeuc, a great place to explore the coast and towns of Southern Brittany and is just a few minutes away from the Voie Vertean old railway line that has been converted to offer miles and miles of off road cycling and walking.

Out of Season Breaks

Enjoy the beautiful Dordogne countryside out of season - whether you want self catering or all-inclusive which includes pickup from the airport, half or full board meals and arranged days out, we can tailor the package to your needs.

Our La Porcherie gite is perfect for couples and has a lovely wood burning stove, ideal for out of season breaks or come with friends and stay in La Grange with its open fire.

The landscape of the Dordogne changes dramatically from season to season, from the beautiful sunflower fields in May, hot and sun filled days in the summer, the grape and walnut harvests in the autumn – the Dordogne is likened to New England in the fall with the trees turning beautiful shades of reds and yellows, through to the Christmas markets where you can enjoy a warming glass of  “vin chaud” and the beautifully decorated villages and towns.

If you are looking for property in the Dordogne or just want to get away for a longer period of time then Le Grange Gite and La Porcherie Gite are both available for long term let. As a family that has relocated to the Dordogne, we will be happy to share our experiences about moving to France.
