You are very important to us which is why we have tried to provide everything you can possibly need while you are on your holiday to make it as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. 

“It’s so tranquil and pretty and even better than the lovely photos” After a tiring journey, we understand you want to arrive and start enjoying your holiday as soon as possible, the children can get out of the car and run around the large enclosed garden, get ready for a swim in the fully enclosed swimming pool and we can offer you a meal for your arrival (subject to availability during August) so you can just sit on your own private terrace and start enjoying your holiday or meet up with our other guests in the large shared garden.

The accommodation is ideally placed for visiting the nearby attractions of Aubeterre and Riberac and offer flexible self-catering accommodation for families wishing to holiday with children of all ages and we also welcome families with children who have additional needs.

There is a shared internet network that provides wi-fi access in both cottages.

Sports, Activities and Local Attractions

If you are feeling energetic then there are Acrobranche courses, canoeing, walking and hiking, cycling, paint-balling, historical sites, caves, golf, and horse-riding, beautiful villages and beaches to visit and you really will wish you had stayed longer.

If you prefer to stay closer to home we have a range of games, toys and outdoor equipment and a family friendly swimming pool!

Enjoy the Dordogne experience with walking, running and cycling routes right from the doorstep from 3 Km up to 60/70 Kms and more circular and interlocking routes to enjoy the beautiful rolling countryside.

Holidays for Everyone

Our home at Chauffour is a 17th century farmhouse which is set in a lovely mature enclosed garden along with two fully equipped self-catering cottages, ideal for couples, families or groups wishing to holiday together.

The gites each have their own private dining terrace and garden and both have access to the large enclosed garden with games, swings, slides, table tennis, petanque pitch and large fenced swimming pool.

Our cottages are family friendly and include baby equipment such as cots, stair gates and high chairs, along with wooden train sets, toys, books and DVD’s to keep your little toddlers, babies and children occupied.

Our 12m x 6m swimming pool is fully fenced with a lockable gate and has a safety ledge around the edge of the pool for small children. There is a raised decking area with sun loungers for sun lovers or if you prefer, our arbri offers some welcoming shade and is great for an afternoon nap in the hammock.

We Cater for Children with Addtional Needs

The accommodation is ideally placed for visiting the nearby attractions of Aubeterre and Riberac and offers flexible self-catering accommodation for families wishing to holiday with children of all ages. We also welcome families with children who have additional needs such as autism. We are registered on the National Autistic Society website in their Autism Services Directory for providing autistic-friendly accommodation here at Chauffour.

Our Self Catering Accommodation

We have three self catering cottages available to rent; two cottages on site and a third a few minutes walk from Chauffour (1 km). The group of cottages are perfect for friends and families wishing to holiday together whilst still maintaining their own space and privacy.

• La Grange – a renovated barn sleeping up to 4 adults and 2 children and a baby, in 2 double bedrooms and a twin room with space for a baby/cot.

• La Porcherie – a three bedroom cottage sleeping up to 2/3 adults and 2 children and a baby in a double bedroom (there is room for a cot in this bedroom), and a twin room upstairs and a further small double bedroom downstairs with en-suite that is ideal for a teenager or a grandparent. The Porcherie is equally suitable for a family of four or a couple.

• La Petite Maison – three bedroomed private villa for six. This beautiful detached holiday cottage, that we manage on behalf of the owners, is set in an enclosed private garden with swimming pool and petanque pitch.
